Cake Decorating - Beginners (Hobart)

An introduction to chocolate ganache, royal icing and basic piping, moulded leaves, flowers and ornaments.

Course information

Basic equipment (that will cost you approx. $20 if you don’t have it already) will be discussed at the first class. Please do not buy anything new beforehand.

What to bring

  • if you already have decorating equipment bring it to the first class* notebook and pen
  • levy of up to $5 to cover ingredients (payable to the tutor)
  • 50c cup for tea/coffee
  • round mud cake or chocolate cake (to be covered with ganache) for the 3rd or 4th class (no larger than 20cm)
  • a fruit cake or a cake that will keep (to be covered in fondant) for a later session
  • a box to take home your work from the first class
