Course description

Learn to create a range of Indian dishes. The recipes vary each term but normally include entrées, main courses, and desserts.

What to wear

Students must wear covered shoes: open sandals or thongs are not permitted for safety reasons. Long hair must be tied back.

What to bring

  • apron
  • 2 tea towels
  • 2 Chux cloths
  • containers for leftovers
  • notepaper and pen

Please note: It is the responsible of students who attend cooking courses at Elizabeth College to ensure that all bench tops are wiped down, sinks are left clean (clear of food scraps), all cooking utensils are clean and stored away and items used from pantry are returned to the correct spot.

Other information

You will have the opportunity to eat the food you cook at the end of the class but you may wish to have a light meal before class and/or bring a snack with you. A glass of bottled water/fruit juice/soft drink will be provided but you are welcome to bring additional drinks. Please do not bring alcoholic drinks.

  • If you have any food allergies please let the tutor know at the beginning of the class.
  • Children must not accompany adults to this class.

To help us make your experience in our classes as enjoyable as possible, we may need to make some adjustments or special arrangements. If you have a medical condition, an infectious disease, a disability or special needs that may affect your ability or other participants to safely or comfortably take part in a class, please complete the Personal Fitness and Special Needs Form and return to the closest administrative centre listed on the form. If you cannot access the form online, please contact the organising centre and a copy will be mailed to you.
