Millinery - Headpieces

Learn professional millinery techniques and make a delightful headpiece (fascinator) to wear to a special event – such as your Melbourne Cup celebration!

What your course will cover:

The course will cover the production of a bespoke headpiece from 20/20 canvas moulded over a wooden hat block, covered in fabric and trimming – all hand sewn to a professional level. The course will include general discussion about millinery with demonstrations. This is a hands-on class. All students will complete the work themselves with individual guidance from the tutor.
Introductory session: first evening: It is imperative that you attend this session as the base of the headpiece needs time to dry before the weekend. Your tutor will advise you on materials for the weekend class. Bring a notebook and pen.
