What your course will cover:

You will make bath bombs, bath & shower scrub, solid perfume and a honey lip balm. With information on how to formulate and make a product, tips for making products, information on a range of raw ingredients and a number of recipes to get you started.

What you can hope to achieve:

Some lovely products for yourself or family and friends, and the confidence to create your own products from the raw ingredients.
h2 What to bring\wear:

  • 2 x heatproof glass jugs – 1×1 litre, 1 x ½ litre
  • Glass or plastic bowls to fit glass jugs ( suitable for microwave use )
  • Dessert spoon, tea spoon, spatulas
  • Containers suitable to use as moulds for bath bombs/cubes (ice cube trays make good bath cube moulds)
  • Containers suitable for taking your products home in – pots for perfume and balms, containers for bombs and scrub.
  • Electronic kitchen scales
  • Small electric beater (if you have one – mixing can be done by hand if you don’t)
  • Paper towels, tea towels
  • Bottle of methylated spirit for cleaning up after making balms
  • Essential oils of choice
  • Wear old clothes or bring a full apron or overshirt

Tutor has a range of Essential oils, balm tubes and pots available for purchase.
